This venue, with its striking black exterior, crisp white interior, and riverside charm, provided the perfect backdrop for a celebration as unique and intentional as this couple. What I love most about weddings like Allie and Cody’s is the authenticity. Every detail of their day felt intentional and heartfelt, from the first look to the first dance. Some of my favorite shots include the candid moments—Allie’s laughter with her best friend before she walked down the aisle, Cody’s expression she made her way to him during the ceremony, and the joy of their friends and family seeing the two make vows to love each other forever.

A Highlight – The Venue

The Barn at Hatch Point is one of Maine’s newer wedding venues, but it’s quickly becoming a favorite among photographers like myself. The barn’s design is a dream—the white interior fills the space with soft, even light that highlights every detail, from vintage-style decor to the joyful expressions of loved ones. One of my favorite features is the elevated loft, which offers a bird’s-eye view of the dining area. It’s the perfect perch for capturing sweeping shots of the space that gain appreciation for the hard work that the planning team put together to make the day as breathtaking as it was.

The ceremony took place on the property’s dock, which overlooks the Kennebec River. As Allie and Cody exchanged vows, the water sparkled in the background, creating a natural, romantic setting that felt both intimate and impressive. The dock’s rustic elegance paired beautifully with the couple’s love for art and tattooing, infusing their day with an authentic, creative spirit.
