Kelsey and Sebastian love the Maine outdoors and what better way to celebrate their connection than getting married on top of a mountain?
Their camp style wedding involved getting ready in cabins the morning of the wedding. Walking into their separate rooms I was immediately transported back to my childhood summer camp memories. The cozy rooms filled with family and friends made for sweet moments between the bride and her mom zipping up her dress in the dim room only lit by the small camp window in the corner. The groom put on his fishing lure boutonniere in the room across the way while his friends looked on and encouraged him with a bottle of Jack Daniels and cigars that lay about the getting ready area.
We took a short drive up the road to the scenic overlook in Mount Blue, Maine for their vows. As friends put together their arbor decorations we dodged the rain. As Kelsey arrived and was escorted down the aisle by her parents the fog rolled in and allowed for some moody ceremony photos that perfectly captured the feeling of closeness and family that was present at the event. Not a dry eye in the seating as the bride and groom said their vows and officially became husband and wife.
The evening commenced with a dinner at Kawanhee Inn in Weld Maine, a vintage-style summer camp wedding venue that sits upon “pristine Webb Lake and surrounded by the towering Pines of Mount Blue State Park”. It makes a simply beautiful location for any wedding celebration.
I had such a wonderful time and was honored to be involved in this beautiful day surrounded by such lovely humans. I am so excited for Kelsey and Seb and what the future holds for them! Cheers!
